After the results of the Goucher swim team’s York/Salisbury tri-meet were added up, the Landmark Conference named Morgan Richter the conference’s Athlete of the Week in mens’ swimming/diving. At the meet on Friday, Richter was responsible for three wins for the Goucher mens’ team (200 medley relay- 1:42.56; 200 free- 1:47.25; 100 fly- 53.28). His first-place finish in the 100 fly also earned him a new Goucher team record, previously held by Charlie Leonard. Says Richter, “it’s like I was able to put Goucher swimming out there and say that we’re here to compete this year, and we’re not going down without a fight.” Recently, both Morgan and his brother Colin were featured in an article in the Quindecim, Goucher’s student newspaper.
